Covid Education Campaign

During the pandemic I volunteered as media designer for Let’s end COVID! – a rural PA public education organization encouraging vaccination, masking, and countering dis-information. Research shows that people who are hesitant to be vaccinated are most likely to listen to someone they trust. My approach for this public education campaign was to partner with over 50 trusted messengers in the community, using local people to speak to speak to the concerns of the people in their neighborhoods, dispel myths and encourage vaccination.

Pastor Sam Washington of Antioch Baptist Church, local basketball hero turned NBA player Alize Johnson, Juneteenth Chair Lisa Williams, Williamsport Mayor Derek Slaughter, Lycoming County Sheriff Mark Lusk, conservative radio talk show host Gary Chrisman and many other community members posed for billboards, public transit advertising, a website, radio and TV spots, yard signs, banners at Crosscutters ballfield, posters, and social media messaging.
